Executive Director
Comprised of 15 regional Enterprise Agencies, the Enterprise Network exists to develop, maintain and strengthen relationships that support the strategic growth of community economic development in New Brunswick.
A key leadership role in New Brunswick’s economic development framework, the Executive Director will provide strong advocacy, liaison with all pertinent federal and provincial government departments, ensure appropriate standards are maintained in administration and governance, and maintain internal and external communications with member agencies.
The successful candidate must have completed post-secondary education in a relevant field (administration, economic development, etc.) and possess a minimum 10 years experience in business or economic development. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and have a proven history as a consensus builder.
Communication is critical to success in this position. Candidates must possess superior skills (both oral and written) in both official languages. Experience in media relations and public relations would be considered assets.

Job Description
Comprised of 15 regional Enterprise Agencies, the Enterprise Network exists to develop, maintain and strengthen relationships that support the strategic growth of community economic development in New Brunswick.
The position of Executive Director is dynamic and diversified, but primarily focused on the following key areas:
Advocacy
Provide strong advocacy and liaison services with all pertinent federal and provincial departments and agencies to ensure government priorities and programs reflect the needs of communities and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Promote the role of the Enterprise Agencies to enhance their position as the key vehicle for regional economic development in New Brunswick, as well as support and represent common interest issues.
Communication
Provide timely and relevant communication to both internal and external clients.
Communicate to the membership issues, policies and events related to economic development in New Brunswick in a timely and efficient manner.
Act as a spokesperson for the Enterprise Network.
Governance
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director must ensure sound governance practices are followed, including coordinating Board and Management meetings, Director Orientation is completed and policies and procedures are followed.
Administration
Be responsible and accountable for the operations of the Enterprise Network including all financial, operational and administrative responsibilities. A key responsibility of this element is the development and implementation of the annual workplan and budget in support of the strategic goals.
